Avian Teacher Training
Our Teacher Training Facilitator has over 12 years experience in teaching within the education sector and dance. With QTS and experience in classroom teaching in KS2 and KS4, IDTA Qualified Teacher in Ballet and Acro, Acrobatic Arts Qualified Teacher and Acrobatic Adjudicator, and teaching dance and workshops from KS1 to KS4, she brings a wealth of knowledge, resources, top tips and training to the programmes.

IDTA Level 3 Diploma in Dance Teaching Assistant - Ballet

The objective of the Level 3 Diploma in Dance Teaching Assistant is for learners to develop knowledge and understanding of syllabus requirements, safe dance practice and dance teaching so that they may assist in dance classes, usually helping to teach groups of students for a specified period under the supervision of a qualified dance teacher. The qualification does not confirm status as a dance teacher. This is the first step into teaching pedagogy.

IDTA Level 4 Diploma in Dance Teaching - Ballet Faculty

The Level 4 Diploma in Dance Teaching is a professional qualification for aspiring dance teachers, valid for styles like ballet, tap, modern jazz, and theatre craft. It is the first level of professional teaching qualification, focusing on safe dance practice, technical knowledge of the syllabus, and practical teaching skills.

The qualification is designed to ensure teachers have the necessary skills for safe and effective dance instruction. It also allows you full IDTA membership, voting rights and being able to enter students into examinations in the Theatre Branch.
